How to make your art better overnight!

You art is automatically better if:

a) Your characters are actually doing things or interacting instead of just standing there. Seriously. Make them argue. Have them be throwing thngs at each other. Draw your character sleeping or eating or fighting or bothering each other or cuddling or SOMETHING.

b) It's funny. People like to laugh. That doesn't mean EVERY piece has to be funny. But humor can really add a lot to your work, and a great sense of humor can make your work great even if your drawings suck.

c) People care about the characters in question. This is why people favorite shitty fanart and not beautifully rendered drawings of your ocs. It's not because people don't care about original characters!  But if you don't give them a reason to care about them, then of course they won't care.  Duh. So make them care. Draw a series of mini-comics. Or a webcomic. Make a beautiful, funny ref with lots of personality. Draw them in ways that show off their amazing personality. Or don't, that's fine too, but don't just draw your OC standing there looking cool and expect people to care.



Now I just need to follow my own advice.
